<p>This section explains the pathway that normally applies to Macedonian citizens. Your exact situation may differ if you have another citizenship, permanent residence in Slovenia, completed previous education in Slovenia, international protection, or another special status.</p>

<h2>Who this page applies to</h2>
|
||
|
||
<p>Macedonian citizens who completed or are completing secondary education outside Slovenia and are applying for the first year of a bachelor or integrated master programme.</p>
|
||
|
||
<h2>Main process</h2>
|
||
|
||

<li>Read the national call and the institution’s instructions.</li>

||
<li>Apply electronically through eVŠ.</li>
|
||
<li>Select up to the number of programme preferences permitted by the call.</li>
|
||
<li>Start recognition of foreign secondary education inside the application.</li>

<li>Upload supporting documents and complete any aptitude or ability test.</li>
|
||
<li>Monitor eVŠ for requests and the selection decision, then enrol after acceptance.</li>
|
||

<p>Later rounds may not open if all places are filled. If secondary school is already completed, documents are generally due earlier; if completing school in 2026, a later document deadline may apply. Always confirm in the current call.</p>
|

||
<h2>How the national bachelor system is structured</h2>
|
||
|
||
<p>The first application period is the main route; later periods depend on remaining places and applicant category. In the first application, candidates rank programme preferences in order, and the system considers the first programme for which the applicant meets the conditions and has sufficient points.</p>
|
||
|
||
<h2>Enrolment limits and points</h2>
|
||
|
||
<p>An institution may introduce an enrolment limit (omejitev vpisa) when applications exceed places. Without a limit, applicants who meet the entry conditions are generally admitted. With a limit, applicants are ranked using published criteria such as final-exam or matura results, grades from selected years, specific subjects, and aptitude-test results. A Macedonian applicant must first satisfy recognition and access conditions.</p>

<p>Apply in the earliest round available. A later round leaves less time for recognition, residence, accommodation, and travel, and a programme can close after an earlier period.</p>
