EMŠO
EMŠO is the Slovenian personal identification number.
A foreign applicant may use a temporary eVŠ identifier during application. The actual EMŠO is assigned later through the Slovenian institution or authority.
Check that:
- Name is correct
- Date of birth is correct
- Number is consistent across university and state records
Slovenian tax number
Use form DR-02. A foreign natural person can submit the request:
- Personally
- Through an authorised person
- By post
Prepare identity evidence and supporting documents. The official FURS page states that the certificate is normally issued within eight days. You may need it for:

SI-PASS and smsPASS
SI-PASS provides access to electronic public services.
For smsPASS registration, the current official requirements include a SI-PASS account, Slovenian tax number, EMŠO, mobile phone, and identity verification.
Do not wait for smsPASS to begin an eVŠ study application if another permitted login method is available.
