Read the decision completely

Check the programme, study form, year of entry, conditions, appeal deadline, enrolment deadline, required next action, and delivery method.

Acceptance is not always enrolment

A positive selection or admission decision may still require a separate faculty enrolment process. The faculty may ask you to enter its student portal, confirm personal information, upload a photograph, choose electives, accept regulations, pay an enrolment contribution, submit final original evidence, and complete enrolment electronically or in person.

Certificate of enrolment

After enrolment, obtain the certificate of enrolment (potrdilo o vpisu), student number, official university email, portal access, timetable information, and student-office contact. Request multiple electronic copies if possible; you may need it for residence, health procedures, a bank, student meals, transport, student work, scholarships, and accommodation.

Charges

A tuition exemption does not mean that every cost is zero. Institutions may charge permitted enrolment, material, fieldwork, laboratory, card, or other programme-related contributions. Ask for the legal basis, the price list, the payment deadline, the refund rule, and whether payment is required before enrolment is final.

Appeal

An appeal is a formal process with a fixed deadline. Contact the institution immediately if the wrong applicant category was used, a document was overlooked, a grade was entered incorrectly, the recognition decision contains an error, or you believe selection criteria were applied incorrectly.

Prepare for the first academic decisions

Soon after enrolment, check orientation or freshers’ week, course and elective selection, the deadline for changing an elective, application for special-needs or special status, tutor contact, the student council and faculty societies, university email and portal, library registration, and language support. Some faculties permit elective changes only near the beginning of the year; the exact deadline belongs to the faculty.
