What the system covers
Eligible students can obtain subsidised tickets for:
- Intercity bus
- Rail
- Selected city transport
- A national monthly ticket
- A national ten-journey-per-month ticket
- Monthly or annual periods
Eligibility
The eUprava page states that students must have valid status and must not be regularly employed, self-employed, or registered as unemployed under the excluded conditions.
Student period
For students, the subsidised period runs from 1 October to 30 September of the academic year.

Possible routes:

- Application at an authorised sales point
Online use may require a digital identity. The transport data must already show current student status.

The last official price list located during this research lists:
- National monthly intercity ticket: €25
- National annual intercity ticket: €200
- Ten journeys per month: €20
- Annual ten-journey product: €160
- Direct Ljubljana zone 1 student city ticket: €20 per month
- Direct Maribor student city ticket: €16 per month
- Direct Koper and Celje student city tickets: €5 per month
These are 2025/2026 reference prices and must be rechecked for 2026/2027 before you rely on them.
City guidance
Ljubljana
Urbana is used for city transport. Cycling is also a major everyday option.
Maribor
City bus and bicycle systems connect the centre, faculties, dormitories, and Pohorje area.
Koper and Primorska
Check city transport and coastal intercity connections separately.
Nova Gorica
Check both Slovenian local transport and any cross-border travel if accommodation or study activity is in Gorizia.
Celje
Rail is useful for national connections. Local transport and walking depend on the faculty location.
