Out of this feeling grew the initiative to organize a peaceful public gathering in Ljubljana, where young people could unite, light candles, lay flowers, and dedicate a moment of silence in her memory.

On March 16, 2025, a fire broke out in the Pulse nightclub in Kochani, North Macedonia, taking the lives of 60 people and leaving deep scars across the country. For Macedonian students abroad, the news was devastating. Though far from home, the feeling of loss was shared, and the need to stand together was undeniable.

The MSOS community decided to create a moment of solidarity in Slovenia, not as an act of protest or politics, but as a way to express humanity, grief, and unity in the face of tragedy.

On March 21, the square in Ljubljana was filled with silence and candlelight. What began as an expectation of around 200 attendees grew into a gathering of more than 600 people of all ages. The program opened with a short address by the MSOS president, followed by a 16-minute silence to honor the victims, one minute for each March day leading up to the tragedy.

Students, families, and members of the wider community laid flowers and lit candles, creating a sea of light and color that remained untouched for weeks after, as no one dared to disturb the memorial. The atmosphere was solemn, respectful, and deeply emotional.

On International Women’s Day, the MSOS Nova Gorica team hosted its very first local event in collaboration with the Macedonian Cultural Association "Ohridski Biseri". Students from Ljubljana, Nova Gorica, and the surrounding region crossed the border into Gorizia, Italy, for an evening of painting, wine, and music.

The concept was simple but powerful: a Paint & Wine Night where anyone could sit down with a canvas, brushes, and a glass of wine, and let inspiration take over. No prior painting experience was needed. Some chose to create symbolic pieces honoring women, others painted freely from the heart.

A live DJ set gave the evening a vibrant rhythm, turning it into more than just a workshop. It became a celebration. Between brushstrokes and beats, students connected, shared stories, and enjoyed an atmosphere that was both creative and festive.

This event was not just a party – it was the beginning of a new story, which would later grow into the Macedonian Student Organization in Slovenia (MSOS).

    It all began with a simple wish – to gather, get to know each other, and feel Macedonia, even though we were far from it. Kristijan Popovski, then a student at the School of Economics and Business in Ljubljana, shared his idea with a few colleagues, and the response was incredible. In less than two weeks, over 40 students joined the organizing team. Everyone contributed their enthusiasm and time, and the shared spirit and desire to connect turned this spontaneous initiative into an event we would remember for a long time.

    The party started at 8:00 PM and was designed in two parts. The first part was a real gastronomic and cultural journey through Macedonia. Students could try bread with ajvar and white cheese, Macedonian wine, tasty snacks, and traditional drinks. The tables were also filled with other authentic products that reminded everyone of home. All these flavors and aromas were made possible thanks to the support of the Macedonian products store “Makedonija Trade,” which selflessly contributed to making this part of the evening truly enjoyable.

    This winter, the World Handball Championship brought more than just matches on screen. It brought Macedonian students together. In Ljubljana, the initiative came from a student, Ljuben Najdovski, who suggested that MSOS host a group watch of the match against Guinea held on January 19, 2025. With quick organization and support from the local café Lepa Žoga, a space was reserved, sign-ups were collected, and soon enough 25 students filled the place with flags, chants, and laughter.

    Хуманитарен спортски турнир: Играме со срце, заедно за Кочани

    Повеќе од 200 студенти се собраа во Марибор и преку спорт собраа 1.000 € за поддршка на семејствата погодени од трагедијата во Кочани.

    На 5 април 2025 година, МСОС Марибор го организираше првиот хуманитарен спортски турнир во историјата на нашата организација. Идејата дојде сосема природно. По трагичните настани во Кочани, мнозина од нас се чувствуваа беспомошни, но исто така знаевме дека мораме да сториме нешто. Како студенти, можеби не можевме да решиме сè, но можевме да го направиме тоа што најдобро го знаеме: да ги собереме луѓето заедно. Спортот стана совршен начин да ги насочиме нашите емоции и енергија во солидарност.

    Ден полн со енергија

    Настанот се одржа во спортската сала „Леон Штукељ“, која оживеа со навивање, смеа и звукот на кошаркарските и футсал топки што отскокнуваа по теренот. Уште од самиот почеток се чувствуваше дека ова не беше само за натпревар. Беше за заедницата.

    Добредојдовме на 12 кошаркарски и 4 футсал тимови, составени не само од македонски студенти, туку и од пријатели од Србија, Босна и Херцеговина и Шпанија. Таа мешавина на култури и јазици создаде посебна атмосфера, доказ дека солидарноста не застанува на државните граници. Тимовите се поддржуваа меѓусебно, ривалствата завршуваа со ракување, а секој гол или кош беше како мала победа за целта поради која сите бевме таму.

    Повеќе од турнир

    Натпреварите траеја повеќе од шест часа, а атмосферата ниту за момент не стивна. Пријателите дојдоа да ги поддржат своите тимови, музиката ја одржуваше салата жива, а секогаш имаше некој што на новодојдените им ја објаснуваше позадината: „Ова го правиме за Кочани.“ Тој постојан потсетник го претвораше секој освоен поен во нешто поголемо од спорт.

    На крајот од турнирот, на победниците им беа доделени симболични награди. Тоа не беа само пехари. Тоа беше начин да ги почестиме сите што го дадоа своето време и енергија за да бидат дел од настанот.

    Хуманитарното влијание

    Најважниот резултат не беше на семафорот, туку во кутијата за донации. Заедно собравме 1.010 €, кои беа поделени меѓу две македонски семејства чии деца се лекуваа во Словенија. Тоа не беа само пари. Тоа беше порака дека не се сами, дека студентската заедница стои со нив во најтешките моменти.

    Зошто беше важно

    За МСОС, овој турнир беше повеќе од еднодневен настан. Покажа дека нашата заедница има сила да одговори на предизвиците со сочувство и дела. Докажавме дека студентскиот живот не е само предавања и испити, ниту само забави и веселба. Може да биде и солидарност, емпатија и хуманост.

    И можеби најважно, ова беше само почеток. Со „Играме со срце, заедно за Кочани“ не создадовме само успешна хуманитарна акција. Поставивме темел за традиција што ќе продолжи да нè потсетува дека заедно можеме да направиме разлика.

    На 8 февруари 2025 година, македонските студенти во Љубљана се собраа на мирен јавен настан за да ја почестат меморијата на Фросина Кулакова, која трагично го загуби животот во Скопје само неколку дена претходно.

    Веста за трагичната смрт на Фросина на 29 јануари 2025 година длабоко ги потресе студентите низ Словенија. И покрај тоа што сме далеку од дома, болката беше споделена, а потребата да се собереме заедно беше јасна. Од ова чувство се роди иницијативата да се организира мирен јавен собир во Љубљана, каде младите можеа да се обединат, да запалат свеќи, да остават цвеќе и да посветат момент на тишина во нејзин спомен.

    Во спомен на жртвите од трагедијата во Кочани

    На 21 март 2025 година, повеќе од 600 луѓе се собраа на Конгресниот плоштад во Љубљана на мирен јавен собир за да ги почестат жртвите од трагичниот пожар во Кочани.

    На 16 март 2025 година, во ноќниот клуб Pulse во Кочани, Северна Македонија, избувна пожар што одзеде 60 животи и остави длабоки лузни низ целата земја. За македонските студенти во странство, веста беше поразителна. Иако далеку од дома, чувството на загуба беше споделено, а потребата да застанеме заедно беше непобитна.

    Заедницата на МСОС одлучи да создаде момент на солидарност во Словенија, не како чин на протест или политика, туку како начин да се изрази хуманост, тага и единство пред трагедијата.

    На 21 март, плоштадот во Љубљана беше исполнет со тишина и светлина од свеќи. Тоа што започна како очекување за околу 200 присутни, прерасна во собир на повеќе од 600 луѓе од сите возрасти. Програмата започна со краток говор на претседателот на МСОС, проследена со 16-минутна тишина во чест на жртвите, по една минута за секој мартовски ден до трагедијата.

    Студенти, семејства и членови на пошироката заедница оставаа цвеќе и палеа свеќи, создавајќи море од светлина и боја што остана недопрено со недели потоа, бидејќи никој не се осмели да го наруши меморијалот. Атмосферата беше свечена, почитувачка и длабоко емотивна.

    Сликање, вино и музика ги собраа студентите во Горица за да го одбележат Денот на жената и првиот настан на МСОС Нова Горица.

    Од Љубљана до Марибор, македонските студенти ги наполнија кафулињата со навивачки извици, знамиња и смеа додека ја гледаа ракометната репрезентација.

    Во јануари 2025 година, македонските студенти во Љубљана и Марибор ги претворија кафулињата во навивачки зони, собирајќи се да навиваат, пеат и ја споделат возбудата од ракометот, докажувајќи дека дури и далеку од дома, духот на Македонија живее гласно.

    Два града, еден дух

    Оваа зима, Светското првенство во ракомет донесе повеќе од само натпревари на екран. Ги собра македонските студенти заедно. Во Љубљана, иницијативата дојде од студентот Љубен Најдовски, кој предложи МСОС да организира групно гледање на натпреварот против Гвинеја на 19 јануари 2025 година. Со брза организација и поддршка од локалното кафуле Lepa Žoga, беше резервиран простор, беа собрани пријави и наскоро 25 студенти го наполнија местото со знамиња, извици и смеа.

    Само една недела подоцна, енергијата се пренесе во Марибор, каде што локалниот тим на МСОС организираше свое навивачко собирање за натпреварот против Франција на 25 јануари 2025 година. Во кафулето CLC во центарот на градот, настанот собра 35 студенти и пријатели, со грицки, музика и вистинска навивачка атмосфера. И покрај тоа што резултатот на семафорот не беше во корист на Македонија, вечерта заврши со славење, нови пријателства и дури и дружба по настанот што траеше долго по последниот свирок.

    Тоа што ги направи овие настани посебни не беше само спортот. Беше начинот на кој студентите создадоа парче дом во странство: мавтање со знамиња, споделување пијалаци, извикување „Ајде Македонија!“ кон екранот и заеднички смеа при промашени шутови или брилијантни одбрани. За новодојдените, тоа беше можност веднаш да се почувствуваат дел од заедницата. За другите, тоа беше потсетник дека дури и стотици километри од дома, не навиваа сами.

    Нова традиција во создавање

    Од Љубљана до Марибор, овие навивачки собири покажаа дека поддршката на репрезентацијата може да биде повеќе од спорт. Тоа е начин да се градат пријателства, да се зајакне заедницата и да се носи парче Македонија каде и да одиме.     Humanitarni športni turnir: Igramo s srcem, skupaj za Kočane

    Več kot 200 študentov se je zbralo v Mariboru in s športom zbralo 1.000 € za podporo družinam, ki jih je prizadela tragedija v Kočanih.

    5. aprila 2025 je MŠOS Maribor organiziral prvi humanitarni športni turnir v zgodovini naše organizacije. Ideja se je porodila povsem naravno. Po tragičnih dogodkih v Kočanih smo se mnogi počutili nemočne, a hkrati smo vedeli, da moramo nekaj storiti. Kot študenti morda nismo mogli rešiti vsega, lahko pa smo naredili tisto, kar znamo najbolje: povezati ljudi. Šport je postal odličen način, da svoja čustva in energijo usmerimo v solidarnost.

    Dan, poln energije

    Dogodek je potekal v športni dvorani Leon Štukelj, ki je oživela od navijanja, smeha in zvoka košarkarskih ter futsal žog, ki so poskakovale po igriščih. Že od samega začetka se je čutilo, da ne gre le za tekmovanje. Šlo je za skupnost.

    Gostili smo 12 košarkarskih in 4 futsal ekipe, ki so jih sestavljali ne le makedonski študenti, ampak tudi prijatelji iz Srbije, Bosne in Hercegovine ter Španije. Ta mešanica kultur in jezikov je ustvarila poseben naboj, dokaz, da se solidarnost ne ustavi na državnih mejah. Ekipe so si med seboj pomagale, rivalstva so se končala z rokovanjem, vsak gol ali koš pa je bil kot majhna zmaga za cilj, zaradi katerega smo bili vsi tam.

    Več kot le turnir

    Tekme so trajale več kot šest ur in vzdušje ni niti za trenutek popustilo. Prijatelji so prišli podpret svoje ekipe, glasba je ohranjala živahnost dvorane, vedno pa je bil nekdo, ki je novincem pojasnil ozadje: »To počnemo za Kočane.« Ta nenehni opomnik je vsako doseženo točko spremenil v nekaj večjega od športa.

    Ob koncu turnirja so zmagovalcem podelili simbolične nagrade. To niso bili le pokali. Bili so način, da počastimo vse, ki so svoj čas in energijo namenili temu dogodku.

    Humanitarni učinek

    Najpomembnejši rezultat ni bil na semaforju, ampak v škatli za donacije. Skupaj smo zbrali 1.010 €, ki smo jih razdelili med dve makedonski družini, katerih otroci so se zdravili v Sloveniji. To ni bil le denar. Bilo je sporočilo, da niso sami, da je študentska skupnost stala ob njih v najtežjih trenutkih.

    Zakaj je bilo pomembno

    Za MŠOS je bil ta turnir več kot enodnevni dogodek. Pokazal je, da ima naša skupnost moč, da se na izzive odzove s sočutjem in dejanji. Dokazali smo, da študentsko življenje ni le predavanja in izpiti, niti zgolj zabave in razvedrilo. Lahko je tudi solidarnost, empatija in človečnost.

    In morda najpomembnejše, to je bil šele začetek. Z akcijo »Igramo s srcem, skupaj za Kočane« nismo ustvarili le uspešne humanitarne akcije. Postavili smo temelj tradiciji, ki nas bo še naprej opominjala, da skupaj lahko naredimo razliko.

    Turnir ne bi bil mogoč brez podpore naših partnerjev in skupnosti. Hvaležni smo Univerzi v Mariboru, ki je brezplačno zagotovila celotno športno dvorano Leon Štukelj, podjetju Macedonia Trade, ki je poskrbelo za osvežitev in darila za zmagovalne ekipe, ter Radenski za vodo za vse udeležence.

    8. februarja 2025 so se makedonski študenti v Ljubljani zbrali na mirnem javnem dogodku v počastitev spomina na Frosino Kulakovo, ki je le nekaj dni prej tragično izgubila življenje v Skopju.

    Novica o tragični smrti Frosine 29. januarja 2025 je globoko pretresla študente po vsej Sloveniji. Čeprav smo daleč od doma, je bila bolečina skupna in potreba po povezovanju jasna. Iz tega občutka je zrasla pobuda za organizacijo mirnega javnega zbora v Ljubljani, kjer bi se mladi lahko združili, prižgali sveče, položili cvetje in ji posvetili trenutek tišine v spomin.

    To srečanje ni bilo namenjeno politiki ali kritiki. Šlo je za sočutje, človečnost in skupno odgovornost. Kot študenti v tujini smo želeli pokazati, da nam ni vseeno, da se spominjamo in da upamo na boljši jutri, ko se takšne krivice ne bodo več dogajale.

    V spomin na žrtve tragedije v Kočanih

    21. marca 2025 se je na Kongresnem trgu v Ljubljani zbralo več kot 600 ljudi na mirnem javnem zboru v počastitev žrtev tragičnega požara v Kočanih.

    16. marca 2025 je v nočnem klubu Pulse v Kočanih v Severni Makedoniji izbruhnil požar, ki je terjal življenja 60 ljudi in pustil globoke rane po vsej državi. Za makedonske študente v tujini je bila novica pretresljiva. Čeprav daleč od doma, je bil občutek izgube skupen, potreba po povezovanju pa nezanikljiva.

    Skupnost MŠOS se je odločila ustvariti trenutek solidarnosti v Sloveniji, ne kot dejanje protesta ali politike, ampak kot način izražanja človečnosti, žalosti in enotnosti ob tragediji.

    21. marca je bil trg v Ljubljani napolnjen s tišino in svetlobo sveč. Kar se je začelo s pričakovanjem okoli 200 udeležencev, je preraslo v zbor več kot 600 ljudi vseh starosti. Program se je začel s kratkim nagovorom predsednika MŠOS, ki mu je sledila 16-minutna tišina v počastitev žrtev, ena minuta za vsak marčevski dan do tragedije.

    Študenti, družine in člani širše skupnosti so polagali cvetje in prižigali sveče ter ustvarili morje svetlobe in barv, ki je ostalo nedotaknjeno še tedne po dogodku, saj si nihče ni upal skruniti spomenika. Vzdušje je bilo slovesno, spoštljivo in globoko čustveno.

    Ta zbor je bil opomnik, da študenti tudi daleč od doma nosijo svoje korenine, svoje sočutje in svoj glas za pravico. Ni bilo promocijsko dejanje, ampak človeško, znak, da nova generacija želi graditi prihodnost, v kateri nas opredeljujeta solidarnost in skrb.

    Slikanje, vino in glasba so v Gorici združili študente ob praznovanju dneva žena in prvem dogodku MŠOS Nova Gorica.

    Na mednarodni dan žena je ekipa MŠOS Nova Gorica pripravila svoj prvi lokalni dogodek v sodelovanju z Makedonskim kulturnim društvom »Ohridski Biseri«. Študenti iz Ljubljane, Nove Gorice in okolice so prestopili mejo v italijansko Gorico na večer slikanja, vina in glasbe.

    Umetnost, glasba in druženje

    Zamisel je bila preprosta, a močna: večer slikanja in vina, kjer je lahko vsak sedel s platnom, čopiči in kozarcem vina ter pustil, da ga prevzame navdih. Predznanje slikanja ni bilo potrebno. Nekateri so ustvarili simbolična dela v čast ženskam, drugi so slikali povsem po navdihu srca.

    DJ v živo je večeru dal živahen ritem in ga spremenil v več kot le delavnico. Postal je praznovanje. Med potezami čopiča in ritmi so se študenti povezovali, delili zgodbe in uživali v vzdušju, ki je bilo hkrati ustvarjalno in praznično.

    Ker je bil dogodek 8. marca, na mednarodni dan žena, je nosil globlji pomen. Bila je priložnost za praznovanje in spoštovanje žensk, ne le z besedami, ampak skozi umetnost. Slike, ki so nastale tisti večer, so bile raznolike, osebne in polne barv, prav tako kot študentska skupnost sama.

    Večer slikanja in vina je pokazal, da je MŠOS Nova Gorica pripravljena prinesti sveže ideje in energijo v našo študentsko družino. Od trkanja kozarcev vina do platen, ki se polnijo z barvami, je večer vsem pustil spomine in nekaj s slikanjem obarvanih prstov, ki jih ne bomo pozabili.

    From an idea to a party with 500 students – that's how our story began!

    On October 8, 2022, in the heart of the Student Campus in Ljubljana, the first Macedonian Student Night in Slovenia took place. Under the motto #FeelsLikeHome, more than 500 young people enjoyed Macedonian music, delicious traditional food, and an atmosphere that felt like home. This event was not just a party – it was the beginning of a new story, which would later grow into the Macedonian Student Organization in Slovenia (MSOS).

    How an idea for socializing became the start of a movement

    It all began with a simple wish – to gather, get to know each other, and feel Macedonia, even though we were far from it. Kristijan Popovski, then a student at the School of Economics and Business in Ljubljana, shared his idea with a few colleagues, and the response was incredible. In less than two weeks, over 40 students joined the organizing team. Everyone contributed their enthusiasm and time, and the shared spirit and desire to connect turned this spontaneous initiative into an event we would remember for a long time.

    From that moment on, we spent every free moment in the offices of the student organization Povezani, which gave us great support in organizing. Days and nights were spent planning, holding meetings, and writing social media posts – all with the goal of creating an event that we initially thought would attract, if we were lucky, about 100 visitors.

    A week before the event, we posted interesting facts about Macedonia every day – its national treasures, music, and culture. Slowly but surely, we built the atmosphere and excitement, not only among Macedonian students but also among many others who wanted to feel our energy.

    The taste and smell of Macedonia in the heart of Ljubljana

    The party started at 8:00 PM and was designed in two parts. The first part was a real gastronomic and cultural journey through Macedonia. Students could try bread with ajvar and white cheese, Macedonian wine, tasty snacks, and traditional drinks. The tables were also filled with other authentic products that reminded everyone of home. All these flavors and aromas were made possible thanks to the support of the Macedonian products store “Makedonija Trade,” which selflessly contributed to making this part of the evening truly enjoyable.

    In addition to the food, visitors could explore interesting facts about the country, photos of famous Macedonian figures and cultural landmarks, and see traditional costumes and a gaida up close. The atmosphere was warm and full of curiosity – like a small exhibition within a large student party.

    Support from the Macedonian community and diplomacy

    The evening was enriched by the presence of important guests from the Macedonian community in Slovenia. The President of the Union of Macedonian Cultural Associations in Slovenia, Mr. Blagoja Nasteski, joined the event, confirming the importance of such initiatives for preserving the Macedonian spirit and tradition in the diaspora.

    We were especially honored to welcome the Ambassador of North Macedonia to Slovenia, Mrs. Suzana Zelenkovska, who gave warm words of encouragement and support to the youth. Her presence and interest in the event were an additional motivation to continue our mission of connecting and promoting the Macedonian student community.

    The party had great energy spreading everywhere – at one point there was a small but controlled chaos. Even though the event ended slightly earlier than planned, the students kept singing together for another hour while we were cleaning up the place. Truly, a night to remember!

    A beginning to remember

    That night wasn't just another student party – it was the moment we realized we had started something bigger. Instead of the expected 100 guests, about 500 students came to the club, and the energy was incredible. New friendships were made, songs were sung from the heart, and Macedonian culture and tradition took center stage for the entire evening.

    This night laid the foundation for the Macedonian Student Organization in Slovenia and showed us that with enthusiasm, unity, and a bit of courage, it's possible to create something that brings people together and gives them a sense of home – even when they are far away from it.

    From an idea to a party with 500 students – that's how our story began!

    On October 8, 2022, in the heart of the Student Campus in Ljubljana, the first Macedonian Student Night in Slovenia took place. Under the motto #FeelsLikeHome, more than 500 young people enjoyed Macedonian music, delicious traditional food, and an atmosphere that felt like home. This event was not just a party – it was the beginning of a new story, which would later grow into the Macedonian Student Organization in Slovenia (MSOS).

    How an idea for socializing became the start of a movement

    It all began with a simple wish – to gather, get to know each other, and feel Macedonia, even though we were far from it. Kristijan Popovski, then a student at the School of Economics and Business in Ljubljana, shared his idea with a few colleagues, and the response was incredible. In less than two weeks, over 40 students joined the organizing team. Everyone contributed their enthusiasm and time, and the shared spirit and desire to connect turned this spontaneous initiative into an event we would remember for a long time.

    From that moment on, we spent every free moment in the offices of the student organization Povezani, which gave us great support in organizing. Days and nights were spent planning, holding meetings, and writing social media posts – all with the goal of creating an event that we initially thought would attract, if we were lucky, about 100 visitors.

    A week before the event, we posted interesting facts about Macedonia every day – its national treasures, music, and culture. Slowly but surely, we built the atmosphere and excitement, not only among Macedonian students but also among many others who wanted to feel our energy.

    The taste and smell of Macedonia in the heart of Ljubljana

    The party started at 8:00 PM and was designed in two parts. The first part was a real gastronomic and cultural journey through Macedonia. Students could try bread with ajvar and white cheese, Macedonian wine, tasty snacks, and traditional drinks. The tables were also filled with other authentic products that reminded everyone of home. All these flavors and aromas were made possible thanks to the support of the Macedonian products store “Makedonija Trade,” which selflessly contributed to making this part of the evening truly enjoyable.

    In addition to the food, visitors could explore interesting facts about the country, photos of famous Macedonian figures and cultural landmarks, and see traditional costumes and a gaida up close. The atmosphere was warm and full of curiosity – like a small exhibition within a large student party.

    Support from the Macedonian community and diplomacy

    The evening was enriched by the presence of important guests from the Macedonian community in Slovenia. The President of the Union of Macedonian Cultural Associations in Slovenia, Mr. Blagoja Nasteski, joined the event, confirming the importance of such initiatives for preserving the Macedonian spirit and tradition in the diaspora.

    We were especially honored to welcome the Ambassador of North Macedonia to Slovenia, Mrs. Suzana Zelenkovska, who gave warm words of encouragement and support to the youth. Her presence and interest in the event were an additional motivation to continue our mission of connecting and promoting the Macedonian student community.

    The party had great energy spreading everywhere – at one point there was a small but controlled chaos. Even though the event ended slightly earlier than planned, the students kept singing together for another hour while we were cleaning up the place. Truly, a night to remember!

    A beginning to remember

    That night wasn't just another student party – it was the moment we realized we had started something bigger. Instead of the expected 100 guests, about 500 students came to the club, and the energy was incredible. New friendships were made, songs were sung from the heart, and Macedonian culture and tradition took center stage for the entire evening.

    This night laid the foundation for the Macedonian Student Organization in Slovenia and showed us that with enthusiasm, unity, and a bit of courage, it's possible to create something that brings people together and gives them a sense of home – even when they are far away from it.

    Od Ljubljane do Maribora so makedonski študenti napolnili kavarne z navijaškimi vzkliki, zastavami in smehom med gledanjem rokometne reprezentance.

    Januarja 2025 so makedonski študenti v Ljubljani in Mariboru kavarne spremenili v navijaške cone, kjer so se zbrali, da bi navijali, peli in delili vznemirjenje ob rokometu, s čimer so dokazali, da tudi daleč od doma makedonski duh živi glasno.

    Dve mesti, en duh

    To zimo je svetovno prvenstvo v rokometu prineslo več kot le tekme na zaslonu. Povezalo je makedonske študente. V Ljubljani je pobuda prišla od študenta Ljubena Najdovskega, ki je predlagal, naj MŠOS pripravi skupinski ogled tekme proti Gvineji 19. januarja 2025. S hitro organizacijo in podporo lokalne kavarne Lepa Žoga je bil rezerviran prostor, zbrane so bile prijave in kmalu je 25 študentov napolnilo prostor z zastavami, vzkliki in smehom.

    Le teden dni pozneje se je energija prenesla v Maribor, kjer je lokalna ekipa MŠOS pripravila svoje navijaško srečanje za tekmo proti Franciji 25. januarja 2025. V kavarni CLC v središču mesta se je zbralo 35 študentov in prijateljev, s prigrizki, glasbo in pravim navijaškim vzdušjem. Čeprav rezultat na semaforju ni bil naklonjen Makedoniji, se je večer končal s praznovanjem, novimi prijateljstvi in celo druženjem po dogodku, ki je trajalo še dolgo po zadnjem žvižgu.

    Več kot le gledanje tekme

    Tisto, kar je te dogodke naredilo posebne, ni bil le šport. Bil je način, kako so študenti v tujini ustvarili košček doma: mahanje z zastavami, deljenje pijače, vzkliki »Ајде Македонија!« proti zaslonu in skupen smeh ob zgrešenih strelih ali izjemnih obrambah. Za novince je bila to priložnost, da se v hipu počutijo del skupnosti. Za druge je bil to opomnik, da tudi na stotine kilometrov od doma niso navijali sami.

    Nastajajoča nova tradicija

    Od Ljubljane do Maribora so ta navijaška srečanja pokazala, da je podpiranje reprezentance lahko več kot šport. Je način za sklepanje prijateljstev, krepitev skupnosti in nošenje koščka Makedonije, kamor koli gremo. Z vsako tekmo energija raste in eno je gotovo: ta srečanja bodo še naprej del zgodbe MŠOS.
